About PBTC

Portpatrick Bowling green was constructed on the site of the former Portpatrick harbour railway station and opened in 1893.

Situated in the heart of the picturesque harbour front, adjacent to putting greens and near the village's main hotels, it offers scenic views and a warm welcome.

The club facilities  incloude the adjacent tennis courts and well maintained bowling green and a club house.

Portpatrick Bowling and Tennis Club is registered as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), focusing on maintaining its role in the community and enhancing facilities (Charity number SC052121). The club operates as a non-profit distributing charity whose principal objective is:  "The advancement of public participation in the sports of bowling and tennis."

The facility is a vital part of the village's social fabric, with bowling remaining a popular summer activity for both residents and visitors alike, supporting Portpatrick role as tourist destination.  The bowling green and tennis courts provide a valued coastal recreational space that has served the community and tourists for over a century, surviving alongside the evolving landscape of Portpatrick's harbour area.
